last weekend i unpacked my chair and my buddy said - OH i have one of those too arent they great? he set his up and it was the legit helinox that cots double the price. i was definitely aware that the sunyear was a knockoff, but i was curious how close they were in quality. let me tell you - they are almost identical in quality, make materials, sturdiness. the ONLY nitpicky thing was that the stiching appeared to be better on the expensive chair. but that being said - i have had ZERO issues with the stiching on the sunyear. actually, the consensus was that my chair was actually better because it has a velcro strap that you can attach the bag to when youre sitting in it so you dont lose it. the more expensive chair doesnt have this. ive had this chair over a year, and it still looks as great as the day i bought it. packs super small. fits almost anywhere. its one of my fav pieces of gear. price is fantastic. you wont be disappointed. i want to buy another one, but i am but one person and can only sit in one at a time. i also weigh about 230 and it holds me just fine. never fell out of it despite being super drunk.

It's fairly easy to assemble. Not recommended for small children. It's so lightweight a child's weight isn't enough to support it if they're trying to get out of it. Great for adults though! And it's less than 2lbs. Great backpacking equipment.

LOVE this chair! I was looking for a lightweight chair with a back to take on backpacking trips up in the mountains — but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I was skeptical of this chair due to the low price tag, but I’m so happy I bought it. At 5’10” and 145lbs, the chair fits my body perfectly, offering comfort after a long and hard hike. The weight, at 2 lbs, is light enough for me to trek around in my backpack too. As the chair is heavier than the 1 lb chair that REIs sells, I thought I would be bummed about the weight, but that extra weight actually offers more steadiness than the lighter version.

This is an awesome chair for a great price! My girlfriend has a Big Agnes chair that costs 2 1/2 times as much and this chair comparable in every way. They are nearly the same weight, same comfort level, same compact design. And the Big Agnes chair doesn't have a pocket. So maybe this chair is better! Lol. This is a great chair and a great company. I would highly recommend it!

This is a nice compact folding chair for camping. Bought it to fit in a motorcycle pannier. Fit great in a 2L Mosko Aux Pocket with my sleeping pad. Comfortable to sit in around camp. For me has the right incline on the back to be comfortable. Frame folds up in seconds & packs in a nice bag.

I decided on this instead of one of the full size chairs because if I wanted something light and compact to carry and stow in the car. This worked great, plenty comfortable, and just high enough it's not too hard to get up from. I weigh 200 and it's been sturdy enough for me. It does take a bit of effort to stretch the fabric onto the frame, about like setting up a dome style tent.
